Become a Sister of the Spirit

We are Sisters of the Spirit because we have the same heavenly Father. Keeping God first and foremost in all that we do while sharing His love and spreading His word to everyone around us.

Who are Sisters of the Spirit?
“YOU” are Sisters of the Spirit! Our ministry is a place where women from all over the world and the greater Kansas City area come together in God's Kingdom to do His will. We represent God's love in all that we do and say.

How Can “You” Become a Sisters of the Spirit?
“YOU” can become a Sister of the Spirit by becoming a volunteer. We offer several volunteer opportunities. The following is a list of Sisters of the Spirit events you can volunteer for:

Taking It To The Street:
We are looking for individuals who can help with securing sponsors. We need winter coats, food and other clothing items for our "Taking it to the Street" winter clothing drive. We are literally walking the streets helping to provide warmth to the homeless by giving them coats and serving them a warm meal.

Prayer Breakfast:
Do you know a powerful woman of God? Please recommend them for our prayer breakfast? We also need a group of volunteers to handle the registration desk, assist vendors (booth) sponsors, pass out door prizes, assist with clothes give-away, and assist the program director.

City-Wide Teen Summit:
Do you have a passion to encourage, motivate, and teach youth how to grow into responsibile adults? This program will inspire and motivate teens between the age 13-19 how to deal with everyday struggles, live a life of abstinence, develop high self-esteem, learn etiquette, and how to live a life of purity and respect, while being showered with love.

Girls Day Out Weekend:
Looking for Sisters to chaperone our "Little Sisters of the Spirit" during our annual sleep over from Friday to Sunday. We take them shopping, teach them how to avoid peer pressure, encourage them to respect each other.

Women's Conference:
We need a group of volunteers to help:

• In our daycare area (only if children are pre-registered), we will be looking for sisters who love to serve as a chaperone to the children.  There will be rotating shifts during the 2 day conference
• As GREETERS to serve our Special Guestsnbsp;
• As USHERS to seat Guest
• As ARMOUR BEARERS to Speakers
• As SERVERS of food
• As CLEAN-UP CREW
• Distribute gifts, door prizes, bags, etc
• Work Registration
• Manage Vendor area
• Assist with Praise and Worship
