Big Blessings

We’re asking God to use Sisters of the Spirit in a powerful way. Our Big Blessing Program is designed to meet the needs of women, families, and other organizations dedicated to building stronger communities. Here are the profiles of the receipents we blessed this year at our 2008 Sisters of the Spirit Women’s Conference:

Young Asha Kindell was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2005. A tumor in her left leg was removed and her thigh bone was replaced with a metal rod. By August 2006 Asha was in remission. Her cancer returned in November 2006 and amputation of the left leg was the only option for her survival. In March 2008 she had 3 tumors successfully removed from her lungs. Asha has been through so much and still has a strong desire to live. She gets up every morning at 5:45 am to get ready for school and tries to be as productive as possible. Through it all she continues to encourage her family and friends to press on each day. Asha is a true testament of strength and determination for life.

Blessing: Bedroom Makeover and money for medical bills.
